The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a bye and hoping to win their third straight game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. But the status of star wide receiver Adam Thielen has been up in the air for days now, and we now have an update on him.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Vikings have ruled out Thielen for the Monday night tilt at CenturyLink Field.
Thielen missed three of Minnesota’s last four games with a hamstring injury. Apparently, an extra week of R&R wasn’t enough to make a full recovery.
When healthy, Thielen is about as sure-handed a receiver as there is in the NFL. He currently has 27 receptions for 391 yards and a team-leading six touchdown catches.
A surprise: The #Vikings have ruled Adam Thielen (hamstring) OUT for Monday night at Seattle.

The Vikings are currently 8-3 and in a dog race for the NFC North title. At this point, there’s little reason to believe they won’t be at least a Wild Card team.
But with the rival Green Bay Packers showing few signs of slowing down, the Vikings need all of the wins they can muster in December and beyond.
Can the Vikings beat the Seahawks without Adam Thielen’s services?
