Stefon Diggs is under contract with the Minnesota Vikings until 2023, but the talented wideout’s recent activity on social media has fans wondering if he wants to be traded in the near future. It wouldn’t be the first time trade rumors involving the former fifth-round pick emerged.
Diggs sent fans into a state of shock by deleting all photos of the Vikings from his Instagram. He’s also been sending cryptic messages on Twitter over the past few weeks, such as “Things getting interesting.”
This past fall, Diggs expressed his frustration with the team’s offense. Many analysts thought he’d force his way out of Minnesota before the trade deadline. Those rumors have recirculated, but the front office is quickly trying to put them to rest.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman tried to shut down those trade rumors at the NFL Combine, saying “There is no reason to anticipate that Stefon Diggs is not going to be a Minnesota Viking.”

At the end of the day, the Vikings have all the leverage in this situation.
Diggs might want to play alongside a different quarterback or in a system where he’s the top wideout. He hasn’t commented on his relationship with the team though.
Minnesota would receive a solid haul back in return for Diggs. The 26-year-old wide receiver had 63 receptions for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns in 2019.
