Even without Adam Thielen, the Minnesota Vikings took care of business against the Washington Redskins last Thursday. Since he's had extra time to recover for Week 10, the star wideout could return to the field this weekend.

Two weeks ago, Thielen suffered a hamstring injury when he collided with a barricade in the back of the end zone for the Detroit Lions.

Minnesota knew Thielen's absence from the team wouldn't be long-term. Nonetheless, the coaching staff must be somewhat surprised that he's already back at practice.

On Wednesday, the Vikings listed Thielen as a limited participant during practice.

This is an encouraging sign for Thielen, who is on track to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here's the full injury report:

Usually, players that practice on Wednesday are ready in time to play on Sunday. That being said, the Vikings will monitor Thielen to make sure he doesn't have any setbacks over the next few days.

The Vikings would have a major advantage against the Chiefs if Thielen is active this weekend.

Kansas City's secondary is susceptible to big plays in the passing game, so Thielen and Stefon Diggs could be in line for impressive performances.

Stay tuned for more updates on Thielen's status for Week 9.
