Although the Atlanta Falcons have a tough challenge ahead this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks, the NFC South squad could have Matt Ryan active for that game.

Ryan left last weekend's game with an ankle injury after taking a hit from Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Matt Schaub replaced him for the final minutes of the game.

The Falcons didn't have Ryan at practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but it appears he's recovering quite well from his ankle injury.

On Friday, Ryan was spotted going through warmups. That's an encouraging sign for his status this weekend.

Considering that Ryan's injury is an ankle sprain, the coaching staff has to be thrilled to see him moving around without any noticeable limp.

Here is a video of Ryan back at practice for the Falcons:

Ryan has thrown for 2,170 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season. He's been one of the few bright spots for the Falcons.

Regardless of Atlanta's struggles this season, the fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium should be in for a treat as they'll most likely get to watch Matt Ryan battle Russell Wilson.

While the playoffs seem out of reach at this point for the Falcons, the team needs to get back in the win column if they want to keep Dan Quinn as their head coach.
