It's hard to argue that the Atlanta Falcons have not had a truly miserable season. Fortunately, they'll have some help in salvaging the season thanks to the latest injury report on star WR Julio Jones.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jones is expected to play in today's game against the Carolina Panthers. Per the report, Jones will double-check his injured hip before the game.
Jones leads the Falcons in receptions (100) and leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,511), receiving yards per game (107.9), and yards per touch (14.9).
Jones was recently voted to his fifth straight Pro Bowl, the sixth of his eight-year career.
Despite Jones' superb season, the Falcons are only 5-9 on the season, largely due to their offense.
The Falcons have been held to 20 points or less in seven of their 14 games this season, and lost every single one of those games.
The game will be played at 1 p.m. EST on FOX.
UPDATE: Julio Jones is officially active for the Falcons. He was not on the team's inactive list.
