One of the biggest surprises this offseason came out of Los Angeles, as Todd Gurley was released due to financial issues. Shortly after the Rams released him, the Atlanta Falcons swooped in and signed him.
Gurley spent his college years at Georgia, where he totaled 3,285 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns. After a five-year stint in Los Angeles, he’ll be returning close to Athens.
Last night, Gurley had a message for his fans back in Atlanta. He let them know that he’s coming home with an incredible hype video that includes a bunch of highlights from his college career with Georgia.
The post from Gurley also included this short caption: “Rise Up I’m Home!” It’s safe to say that he’s ready for the next chapter of his career.

It’ll be interesting to see how Gurley performs in Atlanta’s offense.
Atlanta already has a strong passing game with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. The running game was in need of a major upgrade, and Gurley should help fortify that unit.
Gurley had 857 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns with the Rams last season. His production wasn’t nearly as good as it used to be due to a lingering knee injury.
Maybe a change of scenery will help Gurley revert to his old form.
