Carolina Panthers signal-caller Cam Newton was injured during Thursday night's contest against the Denver Broncos, but it's unclear whether he'll miss any time on the field. Newton, after dropping back to pass, was sacked by DeMarcus Ware. As he fell to the ground, he was hit helmet-to-helmet by Von Miller.
Newton fell to the ground on the sidelines after the play. Injury expert Will Carroll believes Newton is suffering from back spasms. Backup Derek Anderson was seen warming up as well.
We'll see if Newton returns. Carolina leads 17-7 near the end of the third quarter.
