Luke Kuechly was crying as he left the field on a cart during tonight's game against the Saints.
Carolina Panthers' All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly suffered an apparent injury late in Thursday night's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Kuechly, 25, suffered what appeared to be a lower-body injury in the fourth quarter of his team's game against the Saints, but the Panthers later said he's being evaluated for a concussion.
He was carted off of the field and, as he exited, was seen crying and breathing heavily. It was tough to watch.
Here's video of his exit.
Kuechly, who starred collegiately at Boston College, has been an All-Pro at his position for three straight seasons. He's simply one of the NFL's best players and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.
Carolina drafted him with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
The Panthers currently lead the Saints, 23-20, with two minutes to go.
Update: Kuechly has entered concussion protocol, so it's unclear exactly what injury he suffered during the play. Earlier reports of a lower body injury may turn out to be incorrect.
Update 2: Kuechly has been diagnosed with a concussion.
It was a scary moment for Keuchly and Panthers fans everywhere.
