The Carolina Panthers' quarterback room will look a bit different by the end of this week.

Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer told reporters on Wednesday that he informed Sam Darnold of their plan to add a quarterback. It's unclear if the Panthers will draft a quarterback, or scan the trade market for a veteran signal-caller.

Nonetheless, it's not a surprise to hear that Carolina wants to upgrade its quarterback room. The depth chart isn't exactly loaded with great options at the moment.

As for Darnold, NFL fans believe he shouldn't be upset about this development. That's because he's scheduled to make over $18 million this year.

"I would too making millions to eventually ride the bench," one fan tweeted.

So, which quarterback would the Panthers add to their roster? Some fans think it's Kenny Pickett from Pitt.

Others, however, believe the Panthers will trade for Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Panthers own the No. 6 pick in this year's draft. Perhaps they'll target Pickett with that selection.

Fitterer did previously mention that if he had to pick a quarterback at No. 6 he’d feel comfortable with a couple of them.

There will be plenty of eyes on the Panthers this Thursday night, that's for sure.
