NFL coaches are away from their players, but that doesn't mean they aren't keeping an eye on them. Take Drew Brees and Sean Payton for example.

There's no more important relationship in pro football than the one between quarterback and head coach. Brees and Payton have worked together for more than a decade and have developed a strong rapport.

Payton wants to see Brees remain safe this offseason, and that includes keeping him away from rattlesnakes during quarantine walks. Brees shared an Instagram post of yesterday of baby rattlesnakes near his home.

"The baby rattlesnakes were out today… Saw them on the late afternoon walk with the dogs," Brees wrote.

Payton didn't hesitate to offer up a suggestion for his legendary signal caller. "Let's find a different route. Ok?" he wrote on Twitter.

Payton has been in isolation this month after being diagnosed with coronavirus. He seems to be doing well though and clearly hasn't lost his sense of humor.

In addition to keeping his quarterback in check, Payton has been doing a little chalk talk on Twitter, drawing up his favorite plays and route concepts. If you're an X and O geek, check it out.
