The 2020 NFL season was a rocky road due to COVID-19. While most NFL players are vaccinated heading into the 2021 season, the pandemic is still very much in the headlines.
He said Succop went to dinner with some friends from the Tennessee Titans – where he used to play – and later tested positive. Arians announced that Succop will isolate and miss the team’s preseason finale.

Earlier this offseason, Succop and the Buccaneers made headlines when the team tried a fake extra point. Holder Bradley Pinion and kicker Succop went out at quarterback and running back. The Bengals defense lined up appropriately, and the Buccaneers audibled to an extra point, which Succop knocked through with ease.
Unfortunately, that move is illegal and Arians made it clear the botched move was his fault.
“You can’t line back up and kick it. You don’t get a point for it. Evidently, it wasn’t communicated well enough that you can’t do that, so that’s on me.”
Succop – who is vaccinated – should be just fine for the start of the 2021 season.
