As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare for this weekend's showdown with the Los Angeles Rams, the offense will have to practice on Wednesday without Chris Godwin.

Through the first few weeks of the season it has become obvious that Tampa Bay has one of the best receiving duos in the country.

Most of the attention goes to Mike Evans - and rightfully so - but Godwin has also been really good this season. In three games he has 14 receptions for 214 yards and two touchdowns.

Godwin's status for this weekend could be in jeopardy due to a hip injury. He's going to miss practice on Wednesday for the Buccaneers because of this issue.

It's possible that Godwin suffered the injury against the Giants on Sunday. Although he did make a few big plays, the former third-round pick wasn't nearly as effective as he's been in the past.

With a tough opponent on the schedule this weekend for the Buccaneers, not having Godwin would be a brutal loss. They'll need him to keep pace on offense with the Rams.

Fortunately for Tampa Bay, the official status for Godwin won't emerge until later this week. Even if he practices this week in a limited capacity, he should have a chance to play this Sunday.
