Todd Bowles is officially the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bruce Arians announced his retirement on Wednesday night. The Buccaneers have since promoted Bowles to the head coaching position to replace Arians.

On Thursday afternoon, Bowles was introduced as the newest head coach of the Buccaneers. During the presser, Bowles had an amazing comment on Arians.

He mentioned how the only thing he and Arians have in common is their bald heads. Other than that, they're pretty unalike.

“He smokes, I don’t. He drinks, I don’t," he said. "So, we never got in each other’s way."

Something tells us this is going to be a smooth transition from Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles. Bowles appears more than ready for the job.

"I am appreciative of the Glazer family and Jason Licht for having faith in me to take on this role, and to Coach Arians for his support and guidance over the past four decades," said Bowles, via Buccaneers.com.

"Tampa has become home for my family, and we are excited to remain part of this community for years to come. As an organization, we have all the pieces in place to continue the winning standard that has been established here in recent years. I am eager to get started with our players, coaching staff, and front office in preparation for the 2022 season."

The Todd Bowles era is already off to strong start.
