When the news broke that Tom Brady would be signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there were plenty of people questioning why he would go to a smaller market. Well, it appears that doesn’t matter when his own brand is quite big.
Not only do the Buccaneers provide Brady a plethora of weapons, it might give him the chance to profit off a catchy slogan.
Brady has filed a new trademark for the following slogan: “TB X TB.” The filing was made on March 20, which means a potential clothing brand for the legendary quarterback could be on its way.
Josh Gerben, who works for a trademark law firm, pointed out that Tampa Bay actually used the “TB X TB” phrase in a hype video to announce that it signed the six-time Super Bowl winner during free agency.
Tom Brady's agents have filed a new trademark application for:
TB X TB
The filing, made with the USPTO on March 20th, indicates a TB X TB clothing brand will be launched soon.

This is a smart move for Brady and should only help grow Tampa Bay’s following.
Whether you love him or hate him, Brady is a sports icon that can change how a franchise is viewed in a second. After all, the Buccaneers had a waiting list just for season tickets once he signed with the team.
Do you like the idea of a “TB X TB” clothing brand?
