Fantasy football managers who have Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson in their starting lineup are not happy right now.
Johnson has been dealing with an ankle injury, and he ceded more carries than usual to backup Chase Edmonds last week. However, Johnson also caught six passes for 68 yards and scored two total touchdowns.
Even though he was a game-time decision today, Johnson took the field with the Cardinals’ starting offense on the first drive of the game. On second down, he carried for a two-yard gain.
Since then, Johnson has been MIA. Edmonds has taken all the reps and scored a pair of touchdowns, which is surely angering anyone who owns Johnson in fantasy.

A quick Twitter search of “David Johnson fantasy” reveals plenty of disappointed managers. Full disclosure: I’m one of the people who started DJ and left Edmonds on the bench.
However, as Arizona sportscaster Kristen Keogh notes, Johnson’s physical health supersedes fantasy football.
David Johnson’s health matters more than your fantasy points 🙃

We’ll see if Johnson returns to the field at all, or if he just sits this one out.
Currently, the Cardinals lead the New York Giants 17-14 late in the second quarter.
