Troubling news broke on Wednesday involving former first-round pick Robert Nkemdiche. It turns out that he was arrested earlier this month in Scottsdale.
According to the police report, Nkemdiche is in trouble for speeding and driving on a suspended license. He reportedly went 75 MPH in a 45 MPH zone back on June 6.
When the police pulled over Nkemdiche they realized that a warrant was issued for his arrest due to his suspended license and failure to appear in court.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this situation is that police found a white powdery substance in the console of his car. However, the substance wasn’t brought in for testing to determine if it was a drug.

The timing of this news is rough for Nkemdiche because he’s entering the most important season of his NFL career.
Nkemdiche is on the final year of his rookie deal with the Arizona Cardinals. Management decided to decline his fifth-year option.
Despite putting together a prolific career at Ole Miss, the talented defensive end has yet to reach his full potential. Last season, Nkemdiche had a career-high 4.5 sacks in 10 games.
This latest incident for Nkemdiche could become a setback for this upcoming season.
