While at the NFL's Annual League Meeting this Tuesday, Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury was asked about the organization's relationship with star quarterback Kyler Murray.
Murray turned a lot of heads in February when he scrubbed his Instagram account of any pictures in him in a Cardinals uniform.
Despite all the drama surrounding Murray, it sounds like the Cardinals' coaching staff are on good terms with him.
"We’re in a good place,” Kingsbury said, via ProFootballTalk. “That’s the business side of it. I stay out of his things for the most part. But as far as our relationship, it’s always been great. And we see him as the long-term future and I know he feels the same way.”
Murray, meanwhile, addressed his recent activity at a charity event.
“No that was — like I said, if you’re a kid my age, you’re used to like … people take off all of their — that’s just a thing,” Murray said. “Honestly, like I said, I took everything off of it, besides one picture. So it had nothing to do with the Cardinals or anything like that.”
The Cardinals could potentially negotiate a long-term contract with Murray this offseason. He's eligible for a new deal since he's entering the fourth year of his rookie deal.
