One of the best defensive players in the NFL is going to return for at least one more season.

Rams head coach Sean McVay has confirmed that Donald has communicated with the team that he will be returning in 2022. The next step will be to get the contract done.

There were multiple rumors heading into the Super Bowl last month that if the Rams won, Donald would walk off into the sunset. It sounds like he took his time while making this decision as his kids were playing a major role in this decision. The NFL world is excited for Donald as he'll try and go back-to-back with Los Angeles.

Donald was a menace once again for the Rams this season. He finished the regular season with 84 total tackles (38 solo), 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and four passes defended.

He saved his best work for the playoffs, especially the Super Bowl. He made two massive plays on the Bengals' final drive to stop them and win the game.

We'll see if he can help lead the Rams to another championship in 2022.
