There hasn’t been a more dominant player in the NFL over the past three years than Aaron Donald. If his latest offseason photo is any indication of how he’ll perform in 2020, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year is due for another big year.
Back in 2018, Donald signed a six-year, $135 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams. It didn’t take him long to prove that he’s worth that type of investment, as he totaled 59 tackles and 20.5 sacks.
Donald had a strong 2019 campaign as well. He finished the year with 48 tackles and 12.5 sacks. Those numbers are very impressive when you consider the fact that he’s constantly facing double-teams.
On Tuesday, Donald shared a message for everyone in the NFL. The former first-round pick posted a photo of him posing in a gym with Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner. Per usual, Donald seems to be in fantastic shape.
Conner and Donald were teammates together in college, and this photo proves that they stay in touch.
It’s incredible to see just how shredded Donald is at 284 pounds. He looks as slim as a linebacker, but he packs a much stronger punch.
After missing out on the playoffs this past season, Donald appears to be laser-focused this offseason.
