Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has been dealing with a knee injury this week, and his status for today's game has been in doubt.

The latest update from ESPN's Adam Schefter is a positive one though. It indicates that Gurley will likely suit up and play against the Arizona Cardinals today.

According to Schefter, the Rams feel Gurley has progressed well this week, and are preparing for him to play, barring a pregame setback.

Gurley hurt his knee in last Sunday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the second-straight loss for the Rams.

There is a lot at stake for LA in the next two weeks. At 11-3, they still have a shot to earn the No. 1 overall seed if they win out.

However, they could also drop down to No. 3 and miss out on a first-round bye, depending on how the Chicago Bears (10-4) finish up. Chicago holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over LA.

Todd Gurley and the Rams will kick off against the Cardinals at 4:05 p.m. ET today.
