If you think that the Los Angeles Rams have today’s game on lock now that Saints quarterback Drew Brees is injured, you may want to rethink that. While the Saints may be moving on without their best player, the Rams may be too.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald is questionable to return to the game with a back injury. Donald has one tackle so far in this game, but was his usual, disruptive self before leaving.
A two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Donald led the NFL in sacks last season with 20.5 sacks.
And now Rams’ DT Aaron Donald has suffered a back injury that leaves his return today questionable.
So Rams minus Donald, Saints minus Drew Brees.

Losing Donald for any period of time can be potentially disastrous for the Rams defense. Even without having to defend against Drew Brees, the Saints are a formidable force on offense.
The Rams and Saints are currently tied 3-3 with 3:00 remaining in the second quarter.
Which is a bigger loss – Drew Brees being out for the Saints, or Aaron Donald being out for the Rams?
UPDATE: Donald returned to the field late in the second quarter.
Aaron Donald is back for the Rams
