There were already injury concerns involving Todd Gurley before this season began. Well, those health concerns may heighten due to the latest update involving the All-Pro running back.
Gurley has been finding the end zone this season, but his yards per carry is noticeably lower than last year’s average. He’s also not seeing as many touches as he did in 2018.
Sean McVay has stated in the past that Gurley’s usage isn’t because of health issues. However, it’s pretty clear that the former first-round pick isn’t the same player right now.
To make matters worse, the Rams were without Gurley during practice this afternoon.
According to NFL Network’s Steve Wyche, the Rams listed Gurley with a quad injury.
Los Angeles could be resting Gurley for precautionary reasons.

The Rams are going to need Gurley this weekend against the 49ers. San Francisco is currently in first place in the NFC West with an impressive 4-0 record.
Even though it’s still pretty early in the season, the Rams cannot afford to lose three-straight games in a division loaded with playoff contenders.
If Gurley doesn’t practice at all this week, then it would definitely affect his status for this weekend. For all we know, the former Offensive Player of the Year could return to the field on Thursday.
