Heading into this weekend Todd Gurley’s status for Week 6 appeared to be in doubt. Now, the Rams have confirmed that they won’t have their star tailback available tomorrow.
Gurley has dealt with a knee injury for the past year. It didn’t affect his production during the regular season, but his ability to break off big runs in the postseason was limited.
In an effort to keep Gurley fresh throughout the season, Sean McVay has monitored his touches. Even with a lighter workload, the former first-round pick hasn’t remained healthy.
Due to a quad injury, the Rams have announced that Gurley will be inactive for this weekend’s game.

Since Gurley won’t be available this weekend, the Rams have to rely on Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson to fill the void.
Brown has flashed serious potential over the past two seasons, whereas Henderson has barely seen any snaps. However, the Rams did select him in the 2019 NFL Draft because of his resume at Memphis.
Los Angeles faces a tough test this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, who just crushed the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.
The Rams are looking to avoid a third-straight loss.
Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
