We’ve already witnessed a few blockbuster trades this offseason, such as DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals and Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills. Well, it turns out another trade could be on the horizon.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley might be on the move in the near future. Despite all his success with the franchise, the former first-round pick is due a large chunk of change over the next few years.
The Rams dialed back Gurley’s usage during the 2019 season because of concerns over his knee. Even though head coach Sean McVay tried to defuse any rumors about a potential injury, it’s clear that Gurley isn’t as explosive as he was back in 2018.
Gurley might still have value on the trade block though – albeit he’s dealt with injuries. According to ESPN insider Jeff Darlington, Gurley is more likely to be dealt than stay on the Rams.
Couple of RB nuggets from ESPN's @JeffDarlington on SportsCenter just now:
* Melvin Gordon may have to settle for RBBC job
* Believes Todd Gurley likelier than not to be traded

At the very least, it sounds like the Rams are ready to field trade offers.
There is a potential out in Gurley’s contract after the 2021 season.
Any team that inquires about Gurley should have another productive tailback on its roster. Gurley would likely thrive in a scenario where he doesn’t need to be carry the full load.
Do you think Gurley will be on the move this offseason?
