On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Rams shocked the NFL world by trading for star corner Jalen Ramsey. Los Angeles shipped two first-round picks and a fourth to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Ramsey.
The move came after the Rams sent corner Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens for linebacker Kenny Smith and a fifth-round pick.
While the move immediately upgrades the Rams’ secondary, Ramsey has been dealing with a back injury over the past few weeks.
Most just assumed the injury was made up, until now.
According to a report from Omar Ruiz, Ramsey’s status for Sunday’s game is “uncertain.” Several factors are at play, including Ramsey’s back injury.
Ruiz also suggested the team’s flight plans could impact when Ramsey will see the field.
Les Snead said the #LARams training staff has been in touch with the #Jaguars staff about Jalen Ramsey’s health & what he’s been doing physically(back). Said Ramsey’s status for Sunday is uncertain especially considering flights from Jax to LA, LA to ATL, ATL to London upcoming.

The star corner flew to Los Angeles this week and will fly with the team to Atlanta. But the team also has a trip to London coming up as well, which won’t give him much time to assimilate to his new team.
As a result, Ramsey might not play this weekend against the Falcons. The Rams need help containing star wide receiver Julio Jones and Atlanta’s bevy of offensive weapons, so it would make sense for Ramsey to see the field on Sunday.
