The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2019 NFL season with questions about the health of star running back Todd Gurley. Head coach Sean McVay revealed the team planned to limit Gurley’s touches to keep him healthy enough for the postseason.
All of the questions centered around his reportedly arthritic knee. However, now there are questions about his quad as well.
When the Rams took the practice field on Wednesday, Gurley wasn’t there. According to NFL Network’s Steve Wyche, the Rams listed Gurley with a quad injury.
The injury appears to be significant enough for Gurley’s status to be “up in the air.”
NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed backup running back Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson received extra reps in practice. The moves comes in anticipation of not having Gurley this weekend.

It’s a bad sign for the Rams to be this worried about Gurley’s status heading into the weekend.
The 2019 NFL season is only six weeks old and there are already major questions about the health of the star running back.
Los Angeles faces a tough test this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, who just crushed the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.
