The NFL trade deadline was a dud. There was plenty of speculation and rumors regarding star players being on the move, but to no avail.

One of the day's biggest trades went down between the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins. Of course, the Rams already made one of the season's biggest moves prior to the trade deadline when the team acquired DB Jalen Ramsey from the Jaguars.

On Tuesday, the Rams made another move in the secondary. Los Angeles agreed to send CB Aqib Talib to the Dolphins.

Trade details have finally emerged, giving a much clearer picture as to what both teams are getting. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero took to Twitter to outline the specifics of the trade.

Check out the trade details below.

Plenty of football fans are confused as to why the Rams are sending so much to the Dolphins for little in return. But there's a clear motive for the trade.

Los Angeles is going to do all it can to eventually resign Ramsey to a long-term deal. This trade allows for more salary cap flexibility.

As for Talib, he's on the tail end of his career. There's a good chance Miami is the last team he plays for barring a later trade.
