The undefeated San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks tonight. San Fran will be without one of its top offensive players.
Star tight end and matchup nightmare George Kittle will not play in tonight’s game. The Pro-Bowler is dealing with an ankle and knee injury.
San Francisco updated his status on Monday evening ahead of the NFC West Division contest.

Fortunately for the 49ers, they’ll have both starting offensive tackles and fullback back for tonight’s game. Fullback Kyle Juszczyk and tackles Mike McGlinchey and Joe Staley will all play – which may help to overcome the loss of Kittle.
In eight games this season, Kittle has 46 receptions for 541 yards and two touchdowns. He’s without a doubt quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s favorite target.
But Garoppolo and this dangerous 49ers’ offense will have to look elsewhere for production tonight. Perhaps San Francisco will look to rely on the running game with both tackles back tonight.
Tonight’s game is a pivotal NFC West Division contest. The 49ers have been the NFC’s best team this season, but Seattle is just as dangerous and looks to end the 49ers’ win streak.
You can catch Monday Night Football tonight at 8:15 ET on ESPN.
