On Wednesday afternoon, the football world learned that star wide receiver Deebo Samuel asked the San Francisco 49ers for a trade.

ESPN's Jeff Darlington said he spoke with Deebo, who confirmed he wants out of San Francisco. According to multiple reports, money wasn't the issue between the two sides.

With that in mind, new reports show just how much the 49ers were willing to offer their offensive weapon. According to a report from Tony Pauline, the 49ers offered "just under $19 million" per season.

It didn't take long for fans to start reacting to the latest news. They aren't too sure what the 49ers are thinking, given the recent contracts handed out to other top wide receivers.

"If the #49ers did indeed offer Deebo Samuel $19M and he found that disrespectful and that’s what led to a trade request, idk what to say," one fan said. "We’ll never know every detail but a counter offer for $22-$23M seems extremely fair to pay for one of the most versatile weapons in the NFL."

Others aren't sure why Deebo is mad at the offer. "Is $19 million a year insulting enough to demand a trade? Only $4-$5 million off of the highest paid WR in football," one fan said.

Other fans just want the team to pay Deebo.

"If this is true, I get why Deebo mad but still can negotiate. Freakin pay the man," the fan said.

Will the 49ers and Deebo agree to a new deal?
