Despite there not being a trade this weekend, Deebo Samuel still wants to go to a new team.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported the news on Sunday morning as Samuel is "dug in" on leaving the San Francisco 49ers. The trade request could also drag on since San Francisco isn't interested in moving him right now.

Samuel made the headlines in a big way a couple of weeks ago when he officially requested a trade from the 49ers. It was a move that a lot of pundits didn’t see coming, especially since he just had one heck of a 2021 campaign. He finished the season with 1,405 yards receiving and six touchdowns off 77 total receptions, plus rushed for 365 yards and eight touchdowns off 59 carries. Some NFL fans don't see him leaving San Francisco.

It would be hard for the 49ers to part with him considering that they don’t have anyone on their roster that can do what he does.

We'll see if more rumors start to pop up as this saga continues.
