When the San Francisco 49ers take the field on Thursday night for their game against the Arizona Cardinals, running back Matt Breida will be there.

After suffering through limited practices with an ankle injury, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler revealed Breida will play tonight.

Breida, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. all suffered injuries during the team's game against the Carolina Panthers last weekend. That left Tevin Coleman as the only healthy back - and he delivered with a four-touchdown performance.

Now it looks like he'll have some help as Breida gets back healthy.

"49ers RB Matt Breida, who’s listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is playing tonight vs. the Cardinals, per source. Felt good this AM so good to go," Fowler reported.

Breida is arguably one of the most-talented running backs in the NFL, however, he constantly misses time with injuries. He's endured several soft-tissue injuries over his career.

Breida currently leads the team in rushing after Coleman missed several weeks with a high-ankle injury. He averages 5.3 yards per carry and added 12 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown.

San Francisco and Arizona kick off on Thursday night at 8:20 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on FOX and the NFL Network.
