Two of the best teams in the NFL will meet in Week 10 as the San Francisco 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. While there will be several stars on display for both teams, it’s possible that George Kittle sits out due to an injury.
Kittle hyperextended his knee early in the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday. He stayed in the game for the 49ers and hauled in six receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.
San Francisco is actually getting a few important offensive players back this Monday against Seattle, such as Kyle Juszczyk, Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey.
On the flip side, the 49ers have gone back-to-back practices without Kittle.
Matt Barrows of The Athletic is reporting that George Kittle and Robbie Gould were not present at practice on Friday.
Earlier in the week, head coach Kyle Shanahan said that his Pro Bowl tight end is still dealing with pain in his ankle and knee.
Ahkello Witherspoon (foot, quad) was on hand for the warmups portion of today’s practice. TE Levine Toilolo (groin) also back
No George Kittle or Robbie Gould.

The 49ers could decide that resting Kittle is the best course of action since they’re only a few wins away from basically locking up a spot in the NFC Playoffs. However, the coaching staff may also be giving the Iowa product time to rest before they take the field on Monday night.
Kittle is having yet another impressive season for the 49ers, totaling 46 receptions for 541 yards and two touchdowns.
With another practice scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, expect another update on Kittle very soon.
