On Monday night, the San Francisco 49ers dropped their first game of the season. The 49ers fell to the Seattle Seahawks, thanks to an impressive performance from star quarterback Russell Wilson.
Although billed as a battle of NFC title contenders, there was plenty of ugly football. Seven total turnovers and multiple dropped passes marred what should have been an incredible game.
In the end, Seattle walked out with a 27-24 win.
Despite the loss, the 49ers should be encouraged by the game. San Francisco was without star tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders left with a rib injury. Although they lost two key offensive weapons, the 49ers stayed in the fight.
On Tuesday afternoon, head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed the latest on Kittle and Sanders.
He said both are day-to-day.
Both #49ers George Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders are day-to-day and will be a game time decisions for Sunday.

Kittle suffered knee and ankle injuries in the team’s win over the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago. He failed to practice last week leading up to the game against Seattle on Monday.
We’ll have to wait and see if here’s allowed to practice this week. If he sees the practice field, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Kittle back on the field this weekend.
The 49ers face off against the Cardinals once again – this time in San Francisco.
