No team has generated more buzz throughout this draft process than the San Francisco 49ers. Everyone expects them to take a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick, but there's been a serious debate as to which one.

For the past few weeks, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones has been linked to the 49ers the most out of any prospect. His skillset is similar to Matt Ryan's, and we all know how successful the Atlanta Falcons signal-caller was when Kyle Shanahan was his offensive coordinator.

Though a lot of analysts are predicting Jones to the 49ers, he's no longer the odds-on favorite to be the third pick in this year's draft.

According to the latest betting odds, North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance is the favorite to become the next quarterback of the 49ers.

This drastic change in the betting odds came shortly after Pat McAfee reported that Jones will not be the third overall pick.

Lance only played in one game this past season, but his 2019 tape is truly special.

During the 2019 season, Lance completed 66.9 percent of his passes in 2019 for 2,786 yards, 28 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also terrorized defenses with his legs, rushing for 1,100 yards and 14 scores.

The 49ers may have to be really patient with Lance since he's not as pro-ready as Trevor Lawrence or Zach Wilson, but he has the potential to become a star in the NFL.
