Tyvis Powell has bounced around the NFL a bit since leaving Ohio State. The former Buckeye standout is getting another shot to make his case to stick in the league.

Powell is getting called up off the practice squad by the San Francisco 49ers. It is the second time in as many years that he'll appear for the club.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport broke the Tyvis Powell news, along with some other nuggets.

Via Twitter:

Powell was not taken in the 2016 NFL Draft, despite a big-time Ohio State career, which included a national championship win.

He signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2016, making three tackles in eight appearances for the club that year.

He had brief practice squad and off-season stints with the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, and Seahawks again, before latching on with the 49ers.

Last year, he made five tackles in three appearances for the club. Now, he's back with the club again.

The Powell news is not the only noteworthy one from Rapoport there. Breshad Perriman, a former first round pick, was waived once again.

The former Ravens 2o15 26th overall pick has struggled to get his career off the ground, dealing with a number of injuries through his early years. He was released by Baltimore a few weeks ago, and now Washington has done the same.

Perriman has 43 catches for 576 yards and three touchdowns in his career.
