Antonio Brown remains interested in an NFL comeback, but the former All-Pro wide receiver is unsigned less than two months before the start of the 2020 season.
That could change eventually, though. The former star NFL wide receiver has been linked to a couple of different teams so far this offseason.
One team has been mentioned more than the rest - the Seattle Seahawks. The NFC West contenders have continuously been mentioned for the former All-Pro wideout.
ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday that Seattle has done a "deep dive" on Brown. However, a signing is reportedly not imminent.
"Seattle has done a deep dive on Antonio Brown ... they’ve done their research like they would with any free agent,” Fowler said on SportsCenter on Saturday." I'm told they have a good grasp on Antonio Brown, the player and the person. That part is crucial. That said, I don’t think a signing is imminent. It might not happen at all, but they have the deep file on him.
"Teams are (worried) at how many games he’s going to miss due to suspension. They just simply don’t know and the NFL has not tipped its hand on what kind of suspension they’re going to levy against him for his off-field issues. Teams just know that he will miss some time."
Brown would be a nice weapon for Russell Wilson, who could use more help on offense.
We'll see if the Seahawks decide to roll the dice and sign Brown ahead of the 2020 season.
