This month has been incredibly tough for people around the world due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, there are plenty of generous people doing their part to help those in need during this time, such as Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara.
Wilson is obviously known for his incredible production on the gridiron, but he’s also an exceptional person off the field. Well, he proved that narrative to be true once again with his latest gesture.
Earlier this week, Wilson shared a video on Twitter. He announced that he and his wife will be donating 1 million meals to local Seattle charity.
“Obviously this worldwide pandemic is changing the world. People are losing loved ones. Think about people losing jobs – even in Seattle with our friends at Alaska Airlines and the Seattle Children’s Hospital. All these places are being affected all around the world,” Wilson said. “What we’ve decided to do is partner up with our local food bank in Seattle, Seattle Food Lifeline and we’re going to donate a million meals and hopefully make a difference.”

Ciara also shared her words of encouragement, saying “Everything that we do together makes a difference and together we will conquer this tough time we’re going through.”
During a public health crisis like this, it’s imperative that people are united and do their best to help those in need. Ciara and Wilson are setting the perfect example for everyone else to follow.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
