On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen found a new landing spot. According to Schefter, the Seattle Seahawks signed Olsen to a one-year deal.
Olsen took several visits after he and the Panthers “mutually” agreed to part ways. According to multiple reports, Olsen visited the Seahawks, Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills.
The Seahawks inked Olsen to a one-year deal worth $7 million. His deal with the team includes $5.5 million guaranteed. He’s paired up with one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson.
The two hit it off on social media earlier this month. Wilson put up a picture with Olsen, with a comment suggesting the tight end could still play at a high level.
After Olsen signed his one-year deal with Seattle, Wilson took to Twitter once again with a message.
“This aged well,” he said about the picture with Olsen.

Olsen started 14 games for the Carolina Panthers this past season. He finished with 52 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns.
The sub-par season came as a result of poor quarterback play with Cam Newton sidelined due to injury.
Now he’ll be on the field with one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league.
