However, that potential crisis has long since passed, and Wilson remains with the team that drafted him nine years ago. We’ll see what the future holds beyond 2021, but for now, Wilson and the Seahawks are together chasing a Super Bowl.
As he gets ready for his 10th NFL training camp, Wilson tweeted a simple message about his mindset going into the fall.
He’s looking to make this season his “best year yet.”
Best year yet.

With Wilson at quarterback and head coach Pete Carroll running the show, the Seahawks have been incredibly consistent over the last nine seasons. Seattle has posted a winning record every year and reached the postseason eight times.
However, the team has not advanced past the Divisional Round since its last Super Bowl trip seven years ago, and the Seahawks have lost in the Wild Card Round in two of the last three seasons. Wilson and Carroll seem overdue for a big playoff run.
If it doesn’t happen this year, it is worth wondering if it will happen again at all.
