Antonio Brown's future with the Pittsburgh Steelers got a little clearer today. According to reports, the Steelers have agreed to trade the star wide receiver.
The All-Pro wideout took to social media earlier in the day to reveal the news and discuss how his meeting with ownership went.
“Had a great meeting with Mr.Rooney today we discussed a lot of things and we cleared the air on several issues! We both agreed that it is time to move on but I’ll always have appreciation and gratitude towards the Rooney family and @steelers organization!” Brown shared.
The Steelers are now looking to trade him and reportedly want a high draft pick back for the star wideout.
What NFL teams might trade for him?
Longtime NFL executive and current NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly named two potential destinations:
- Oakland Raiders
- San Francisco 49ers
Both the Raiders and the 49ers make a lot of sense, especially Oakland, which possesses the draft picks necessary to make a deal.
Brown will likely want his contract restructured and extended whenever a trade is made, but the Raiders (and the 49ers) would likely be able to get that done.
