NFL Fans Praying For Nick Chubb After Leg Injury
Nick Chubb went down with a gruesome injury during Monday night's game.
The star Cleveland Browns running back got carted off a field after suffering an apparent leg injury. The play was so grisly that ESPN declined to air a replay.
Viewers, including some fellow sports stars, felt horrible for Chubb and wished him a speedy recovery.
"DAMN MAN!!!! Nick Chubb. Praying for the absolute best," NBA superstar and Cleveland native LeBron James wrote.
"Prayers for Nick Chubb," AFC North rival Lamar Jackson said.
"Prayers for Nick Chubb," Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray wrote. "Never want to see that."
"There are few football players on earth who give me more joy than Nick Chubb," ESPN's Mina Kimes said. "I'm sick for him."
"I’m just sick to my stomach," a fan wrote. "Feel so bad for this dude. I hope he’s okay."
"Love you, Nick," Rob DiFranco said. "Please get well soon."
Chubb had already gained 64 yards on 10 carries before leaving the game. He opened the season with 127 total yards in a 24-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
One of the game's premier rushers, Chubb has averaged at least 5.0 yards per carry in each season since entering the NFL. He's made four straight Pro Bowls and is second to Derrick Henry in rushing since the start of 2019.
ESPN's Adam Schefter noted that Chubb injured the same left knee that he dislocated when tearing his tore his MCL, PCL, and LCL in a 2015 college game with Georgia. The Browns ruled him out for the rest of the game.
