NFL Fans React To Matthew Stafford's Decision On 2025 Season

After the Rams were eliminated from the playoffs by the NFC champion Eagles, Matthew Stafford said he felt like he had a lot of football left in him.

And apparently he wasn't lying.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the veteran QB plans on returning to LA and playing in 2025. Although the insider notes that a deal will likely need to be worked out between the two sides before that happens.

The 36-year-old was still as sharp as ever this past season despite dealing with injuries to both his top weapons and himself.

Fans reacted to the idea of Stafford coming back for 17th year on social media.

"Good for him and rams," a user said.

"dont like the rams much, [but] i like stafford," another admitted.

"Come on #Rams Leadership... Get a deal done with QB1!" a Rams fan posted.

"One last ride, ring incoming," another user predicted.

"Can people stop freaking out about him leaving now??" another person asked.

"Gonna go ahead and book my Super Bowl tickets for next year now."

"Day ruined, pass the bleach," a rival commented.

"Give him whatever raise he needs and let's run it back again ... Rams are a Super Bowl contender as long as they have Stafford at QB," another fan replied.

"Sweet glad he's still wants to play but hope the Rams prepare for departure with this Draft."

The Rams should continue to be right in the mix in the NFC with Stafford behind center.

Now it's just a matter of what the team decides to do with wide receiver Cooper Kupp whose future was also looking uncertain heading into the offseason.
