NFL Insider Has Major Injury Update For Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills received a significant hit to their starting lineup after Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Rookie quarterback Josh Allen exited with an injury to his throwing arm.

He was replaced by Nathan Peterman and didn't return to the contest. According to Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter, Allen's injury is to the UCL in his throwing elbow.

The injury wasn't believed to be serious, though an MRI was scheduled to see the extent of the damage. On Tuesday night, NFL insider Tom Pelissero revealed Allen received a second opinion on the elbow injury.

It's relatively good news for Buffalo. Allen reportedly won't need surgery, but is expected to miss two of three games.

The Bills sit at 2-4 on the season and are in serious danger of having this season spiral out of control.

Nathan Peterman doesn't instill much confidence in the locker room. It wouldn't be surprising to see Buffalo roll with Derek Anderson at quarterback despite his recent signing with the team.
