Ben Roethlisberger had a favor to ask of Tom Brady ahead of the Pats - Steelers match-up this past Sunday.
The Steelers faced off against Tom Brady and the Patriots last Sunday in an AFC heavyweight match-up, though the contest was slightly tarnished by Ben Roethlisberger's absence due to his torn meniscus.
Before the game, the two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks met on the field for a little catching up, and Roethlisberger had a favor to ask—he wanted Brady's jersey to hang up in his office.
Watch the exchange below:
That's pretty cool! It's funny to see a high-profile athlete behave like a starstruck fan, even if it's just for a brief moment.
The two obviously have a lot of respect for one another, and Roethlisberger is more than aware Brady will go down as one of the all-time greats. He said it himself, telling Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
“It’s going to kill me not to be able to go against [Tom Brady] Sunday. I’ve said many times I think he’s one of the best quarterbacks of all time and the best one going right now. You know me. I love to battle the best.”
As they ended the conversation, Big Ben tells Brady he hopes he'll see him again this season.
Roethlisberger hopes to be back in time to play the Ravens in week nine.
