Pro Football Hall of Fame president David Baker made a shocking announcement on Saturday afternoon.
Baker, the 6-foot-9 Pro Football Hall of Fame president famous for his door-knocking Hall of Fame surprises, has retired. Jim Trotter will take over his position, effective immediately.
“As I approach the end of nearly eight years of service to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, I have come to the conclusion that is is time for someone else to have the ‘best job in the world’ so I can still do a few more exciting things in my professional life while also returning home to our four children, 10 grandchildren and soon-to-be great grandson in Orange Country, California, whom I’ve missed so much during my tenure at ‘The Most Inspiring Place on Earth,'” Baker said in a statement.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame won’t be the same without the 6-foot-9 Baker. We wish him all the best in his retirement.

New Pro Football Hall of Fame president Jim Porter has big shoes to fill, both figuratively and quite literally.
David Baker will be missed.
If David Baker is actually out in Canton they need to find someone who is physically larger. Only way to make it right. Maybe The Big Show can do the job?

I hate this. David Baker is a guy whose face just shows up on a screen and everybody starts smiling and happy crying https://t.co/Mzfbmpqu36
