Even Pat Mahomes is in awe of his son.

Despite aggravating his sprained ankle late in the second quarter, Patrick Mahomes engineered a comeback to give the Kansas City Chiefs their second Super Bowl title in the last four years. The star quarterback erased a 10-point halftime deficit to lead a 38-35 triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL Films captured a touching moment after the game. Mahomes embraced his father, who sounded like a proud dad and a fan amazed at what he just witnessed.

"I ain't never seen nothing like you. You different," the older Mahomes said. "I love you. I love you to death, baby. You know I do."

Twitter users responded to the heart-touching scene at State Farm Stadium.

"What a moment," a fan said.

"Well this made me tear up," a fan admitted.

"It's [a] bit dusty in here," another fan wrote.

"So sweet," a fan remarked.

"Amazing," another fan stated.

The younger Mahomes added to his already legendary legacy Sunday by completing 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 42 rushing yards, including a critical 26-yard run during Kansas City's game-winning drive.

The 27-year-old joined Tom Brady, Joe Montana, and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks to win two MVPs and two Super Bowls. He only needed five years as a starter to reach that elusive milestone.

Pat Mahomes Sr. is as astounded as the rest of us to watch the formation of an all-time great.
