Odell Beckham Jr. always seems to find his way into the headlines, even when he's not doing anything at all. That happened earlier today.
In a Q&A with readers, The Athletic's NFL insider Jay Glazer made a "bold prediction" that the New York Giants would trade Beckham this offseason. There were rumors of a potential Beckham trade last offseason too, but the Giants elected to not only hold onto the electrifying wide receiver but give him a massive contract extension.
Glazer is plugged in throughout the league, though its unclear what he's basing this prediction on. Whatever it is, it makes for juicy discussion this time of the year.
Except for Beckham, who seemed to indicate he will be keeping his mouth shut on the matter in a tweet this afternoon.
The Giants have gone 8-24 the last two seasons, with Beckham missing time in both years due to injuries. Still, he remains one of the most dangerous and entertaining players in the sport when he is on the field and has the ball in his hands.
The Giants will presumably roll with 38-year-old Eli Manning another year as starting quarterback, before turning over the reins to his successor in 2020. It would make sense for them to want Beckham in the fold at that point.
Beckham remains a Giant, and he's not saying much about anything, for now.
