No NFL team disappointed more on Sunday than the Cleveland Browns, who were blown out at home by the Tennessee Titans to kick off Week 1.
The Browns came into the 2019 season with a lot of hype. Cleveland made several big moves this offseason, highlighted by the trade for Odell Beckham Jr.
Cleveland could not have flopped harder in Week 1, though.
The Browns were crushed by the Titans, 43-13, at home.
Beckham had a message for Cleveland and its fans after the tough loss.
“For those fans, we don’t want to see them leaving with nine minutes left in the quarter,’’ Beckham said, per cleveland.com. “We want to be able to stick there and fight through it. I know there’s been losing around here, but that’s not what we’re here to do. We’ve got to have everybody stick with us, the fans as well, as this team has to come together and we each got to play better.’’
Beckham had a solid Week 1 performance. The former New York Giants star had seven catches for 71 yards. More is expected moving forward, though.
The Browns are set to face the Jets on ESPN’s Monday Night Football in Week 2.
