Danny Amendola's 2018 got off to a pretty good start. The star wide receiver was the hero in the AFC Championship Game, and dominated the Eagles in the Super Bowl, despite his team's losing effort.
The 32-year-old wide receiver took over for Wes Welker at Texas Tech, and then again with the New England Patriots.
The Pats star racked up nine catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots win over Jacksonville in the AFC Championship game. He also racked up over 150 yards on eight receptions in the Super Bowl after the Eagles' defense forgot about him a few times.
After the AFC Championship game, the former Red Raiders' standout was spotted celebrating with his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo. Culpo is a former Miss Universe contestant. Not only that, she won the pageant in 2012.
However, the two appeared to have split after Amendola deleted all photos of Culpo from his Instagram account, and unfollowed her earlier this week.
Culpo confirmed the split.
They're be no more of this.
Could the split have anything to do with Amendola leaving New England? The former Patriots star cashed in his solid playoff performances with a 2-year, $12 million deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Culpo confirmed the split to Access Hollywood, but didn't go into the details of the breakup.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder, but maybe not in this case.
