New England Patriots fans aren't too happy with Bill Belichick's fourth down play-call decision in the AFC Championship Game tonight.

The Patriots are leading the Kansas City Chiefs, 17-14, midway through the fourth quarter.

New England was deep into Kansas City's territory and opted to go for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking a field goal.

Usually, the Patriots opt to go with a Tom Brady quarterback sneak on 4th and 1 plays. Maybe the Patriots thought the Chiefs expected that, because they surprisingly went with something else.

It didn't work.

The Patriots handed the ball off to Rex Burkhead, who got stuffed at the line of scrimmage, giving the ball back to the Chiefs.

New England fans aren't happy.

"I HATED THAT PLAY CALL WITH EVERY BONE IN MY BODY," Bill Simmons tweeted.

"Wow. If the Pats run ends because of that play call... wow," Doug Gottlieb added.

It was certainly an odd play call - and one that resulted in a missed fourth-down attempt - but the game is far from over.

The Patriots are leading the Chiefs, 17-14, midway through the fourth quarter. The winner moves on to the Super Bowl, to play the Los Angeles Rams.
